STEVE SLEDGE picked up the guitar at 13 and his musical tastes run the gamut from The Beatles to American pop and even Italian opera. But what really struck a chord with him was the soulful sounds of Nashville's country music. Since the early 1980s, Sledge has been rocking out in various Hamburg bands, gracing iconic venues like the LOGO, Uncle Pö, and Remter.
In 2004, he decided to fine-tune his singing skills and dabble in songwriting, setting up his own studio. His love for country music led him to Nashville in 2007, where he jammed with local songwriters and producers. It was there that he crossed paths with 5-time Grammy-nominated producer David Norris, sparking a collaborative journey with musicians from the USA and UK. Together, they've crafted over 40 songs across three albums.
Notably, his track "CLOSER TO FOREVER" snagged the title of "Song of the Week" for young talents on NDR2 in 2007. Fast forward to 2019, and Steve Sledge teamed up with Hamburg's music powerhouse STRINGKILLER MUSIC. They're now on a mission to share Steve's rich musical repertoire with the world through their in-tune Records label.
And let's not forget about the groovy pop anthem "I CAN BE A FREE BIRD." It dropped in October 2020, a collaborative creation by Steve Sledge and American songwriter Robert De Priest. It's a melodic earworm that'll keep you humming all day.
His third Album "Good Time" has been released November 2023

His first Album “Wishing Well ”was released in 2021The second Album “Somewhere in Sonora” was released in 2022
